About our Vegetarian B&B
Rosemary and Srinivasan bought The Byre in Harbottle in 1999 to set-up a B&B. We are both committed vegetarians and have been aware of environmental issues from living in Malaysia together for 35 years.
Having travelled widely, we are aware of the importance of friendly and hospitable hosts, who will take that extra trouble to attend to guests needs. From feedback from our guests, we feel we have achieved our objectives of providing a calm and friendly retreat and a good base in central Northumberland to explore this amazing county.
Srini plays golf regularly at the Rothbury 18-hole course. If you would like to join him for a game (paying guest green fees) just let him know.
Rosemary is learning to play the Northumbrian Pipes and would like to play solo for any willing listener. Ask for local tunes like Rothbury Hills, Lindisfarne, Wallington Hall and her favourites - Hornpipes.
