Bonny Barn -
Bonny Barn (self-catering) was built in to accommodate cyclists using the *Pennine Cycleway which runs through Harbottle village. It is family friendly and a perfect refuge for a quiet retreat.
Bonny Barn is centrally heated by combi boiler which provides ample hot water. It has an open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with TV and Radio. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and a two-hob gas burner. Basic foodstuffs are kept on the kitchen shelves i.e. instant coffee, tea, oil etc. and other groceries can be ordered at the time of booking. Sandwiches made to order from the main house.
The shower room has a toilet and wash basin. The open plan mezzanine floor provides the communal sleeping area. It is laminated and with access to the upper garden. Mattresses , sleeping bags, liners, pillows and towels are provided and 4 people can be accommodated comfortably. Please contact us for provision for up to six people. Duvet & flat sheets available for couples. Secure cycle storage. Outside pipe for hosing down. Clothes drying facilities.
Evening Meal - As some guests may be arriving on foot or by bicycle, groceries for cooking an evening meal can be ordered in advance, or alternatively we can offer transport to the pub in Alwinton or Thropton.
Families Welcome - however - Due to the steep ladder steps and open-plan mezzanine floor, children must be supervised at all times. Not suitable for children under 4.
